World Intellectual Property Day: Respect Knowledge, Protect Intellectual Property

Origin of World Intellectual Property Day

World Intellectual Property Day was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on April 26, 2001. WIPO decided that, starting from 2001, April 26 would be designated as "World Intellectual Property Day" (The World Intellectual Property Day). The purpose is to foster global awareness of respecting knowledge, valuing science, and protecting intellectual property, thereby creating a legal environment that encourages knowledge innovation.

What is Intellectual Property?

Intellectual property is a collective term for rights legally generated based on creative achievements and commercial marks. The three main types of intellectual property are copyright, patent, and trademark, with patent and trademark also collectively referred to as industrial property. The English term for intellectual property is "intellectual property," which is also translated as intellectual achievement rights, intellectual property rights, or intellectual property.

Types of Intellectual Property

01 Copyright

Copyright is a legal term used to describe the rights that creators enjoy for their literary and artistic works. Works covered by copyright include books, music, paintings, sculptures, films, computer programs, databases, advertisements, maps, and technical drawings.

02 Patent

A patent is an exclusive right granted for an invention. Generally, a patent allows the patent holder to decide whether and how others can use the invention. In exchange for this right, the patent holder publicly discloses the technical information of the invention in published patent documents.

03 Trademark

A trademark is a sign capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one enterprise from those of other enterprises. The origin of trademarks can be traced back to ancient times, when artisans often marked their products with their signatures or "marks."

Jiaxuan's Intellectual Property

Information technology is a crucial component of Jiaxuan Group's core competitiveness. Jiaxuan Group has a dedicated information technology department, investing over 20 million yuan annually in research and development and employing top-tier technical R&D teams. In 2021 alone, the group obtained 15 new utility technologies and 10 software copyrights.

As the company's business diversifies, Jiaxuan places increasing importance on patent applications, focusing equally on quantity and quality. From the perspective of enterprise development and customer needs, we fully control the novelty, inventiveness, and practical applicability of R&D achievements. We strictly adhere to legal regulations and market operating principles, converting more R&D achievements into patents.
